“Treat yourself to a slice of five-star musical pie” (The Times) as Lucie Jones (Les Misérables, Ghost the Musical, Legally Blonde) joins the cast of London’s hit musical comedy WAITRESS as Jenna, with Joe Sugg (Youtuber, Strictly Come Dancing star) as Ogie.
Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of some happiness in her life. When a hot new doctor arrives in town, life gets complicated. With the support of her workmates Becky and Dawn, Jenna overcomes the challenges she faces and finds that laughter, love and friendship can provide the perfect recipe for happiness.
Brought to life by a ground breaking, female-led creative team, this “warm, witty, wise and hilarious” (Express) hit features “one of the best scores in years” (The Stage) by 7-time Grammy® nominee Sara Bareilles (Love Song, Brave), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland).
We thoroughly enjoyed Waitress. It was funny, sad & full of energy. The cast were great & their voices were very good. Would recommend a visit
This show was quite pleasant - would I recommend it to any of my friends ? Probably not. The cast were very good but most of the songs sounded the same. A curious storyline.
Best thing I’ve ever see
Enjoyed every moment. Laughed and cried. Every performance was outstanding. I can not recommend enough x
Throughly enjoyable performance, skillful singing and dancing, funny, sad, poignant..all the ingredients.
The cast were wonderful and the lead actors great... however the first act was dead and pretty boring, the fantastic voices of the soloists were frequently drowned out by the orchestra and thus did not come through to the audience and overall the music and songs were not memorable...and everyone around me thought the same... too bad because everyone on stage worked really hard....
Absolutely stunning production! Set work was flawlessly changed each time and the voices of the cast were incredible! Lucie Jones didn’t disappoint, with her acting just as amazing as her voice! Thank you for an amazing experience!
Lucies voice is fantastic as are all the cast Really great show
Thoroughly enjoyed this show. Fantastic cast and plot, not to mention brilliant songs.
Light relief show Enjoy a bit of fun
What a great show, everybody involved was fantastic and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Will definitely be returning to see again.
An unbelievable performance all round. Very funny and a must see.
Very entertaining show Lucie Jones was brilliant as Jenna Well worth going
amazing! would definitely recommend to anyone that likes a good romcom!
Good fun show, excellent cast and great music and comedy
Really enjoyed every moment! Small sounds quality issues but the performance was 5 star.
This was the second time I have seen the show and I was worried when I saw that there were 2 understudies playing lead roles. They did really well and I loved it all. But how could you not, when it is so well written and brilliantly staged with amazing performances and exceptional musicians.
It was amazing, collected tickets box office all staff polite and friendly. Show was brilliant best we have ever seen wonderful story funny and entertaining costumes and staging out of this world Never laughed so much want to go again 😃😃😃
Came with my daughter who is a joe sugg fan. I was blown away with the show. The actress that plays the character Becky has an amazing voice and for me was the standout. A great mixture of songs and a wonderful time was had.
One of the best shows ive ever seen... joe sugg was amazing. Sarah absolutely brilliant.... that song.... cried buckets all the way through it. Cant wait to see it again.
Really enjoyed this musical, light hearted, funny, great songs and great cast, definitely a feel good show. Standing ovation and everyone left smiling
Had a lovely evening great show, very funny and entertaining!
I bought tickets for my daughter's 19th Birthday, having read good a bad reviews I can honestly say we both loved the show! It's very funny and the cast, songs and singing were excellent!
Such a great musical!
Show was good. I was in the dress circle Row B Good view but had to lean forward to see front of stage Didn’t like that people were filming and attendants didn’t say anything.
This was a fantastic show, funny, good story line and absolutely amazing music.
Absolutely loved this show. Really funny, I laughed most of the time. But sad at points, just wonderful. Could have stayed & watched it again that same nite!
My daughter and I saw the 7.30 pm show on the 21st of September. Lively, very funny and infectious! All the cast were magnificent. Luc ie Jones is the most wonderful Jenna ably supported by the fabulous vocal and acting ability of her co stars - dont think about it just book it. Also the staff of the Adelphi theatre were lovely !
Funny amusing and very entertaining.
Amazing acting and singing. Funny, emotional and beautiful story!
I went to see this with my mum and we were laughing the whole way through! I would definitely recommend it! 10/10! The singing was great, the acting was great and it was such a treat to see Joe Sugg perform.
Wow!! Lucie Jones is an absolute triumph in waitress, her vocals are so effortless and she tells the story so beautifully, it brought me to tears!! The whole cast are incredible !! Also joe sugg is so suited to the role of Ogie, he was hilarious! I urge anyone to see this show it is OUTSTANDING
Went to see this with a few friends. We laughed and cried all the way through this productions. I loved the songs and story line although i would stress it was a tab too adult for the young. Would recommend seeing this not once but twice or even three times. Its that good!
Slow start, but very entertaining overall. Excellent character portrayals and acting, very good singing. Funny with some u drying pathos. Not really any catchy tunes to take away.
Just an incredible show. Brilliant music and stunning performances. Enjoyed every single second of it.
One of the best shows I have ever seen. I laughed and cried. The singing was just amazing and of course the acting was second to none. I would certainly recommend this show to everyone Well done all 😍👏👊
Been to a lot of shows and was really looking forward to Waitress but it was very disappointing 🙁
It was a great show. Very uplifting and funny. A little bit risqué but as long as you're alright with that, it adds to the enjoyment. The recently new cast member Joe Sighs is great as the geeky character. In fact they're all great. One small complaint, not always easy to hear what some of the cast are singing.
Absolutely brilliant. Great acting and singing.
Good show, lots of laughs, definitely worth a visit
Absolutely brilliant entertainment.A mixture of fun and reality with Lucie Jones outstanding
Great! Worth a watch. Defo a girly show though, but very funny.
Not what we were expecting and unfortunately we considered leaving at the interval. Very crude and some of the scenes were so cringeworthy! The singing was excellent - the fault lies with the material they had to work with.
Amazing performance really enjoyed it, very funny.
Singing and acting excellent but would not suggest it is a musical as such as songs were really a sung script not memorable
That little tagline will be stuck as your earworm after the show. Really catchy score and great acting from the whole cast. I overheard many comments whilst here, some of which were making a comparison to Les. Mis etc. Its a totally unfair comparison in my opinion and whilst I love LM I also loved Waitress. Yes its much more superficial on the surface but we both came away feeling that great feeling that comes from a great bit of musical theatre.
Brilliant play, great singing, really funny, definitely see it again x
This is not just a typical London show but an experience from the moment you enter the theatre. There is not single weak link in the cast - performances are of the highest level and it might just be the funniest show in the theatre world right now. A 100% Must See Show.
We really enjoyed our experience at the Adelphi Theatre. Staff were welcoming and the show was very enjoyable.
Could not hear a word being sung because the music was so loud. Such a shame because they were singing their hearts out but when you don't know the show you need to be able to hear what they are singing so sadly very disappointing.
