What Is TINA About?
Rock legend Tina Turner has won 11 Grammy Awards. Her live concerts have been seen by millions. She’s sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer in music history. But where did the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll get her start?
TINA, The Tina Turner Musical traces the rockstar from her humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, all the way through to her transformation into an icon of the music world. Presented in association with Turner herself, this new musical tells the story of a woman who didn’t just break the rules, but rewrote them – defying the bounds of age, race, and gender time and time again.

I took friends to see Tina and enjoyed it so much we all said we would love to see it again, the singing was outstanding.
The Tina Turner Musical is totally awesome and uplifting. Aisha Jowando is a talent and her performance dazzling.
Best musical ever, and the friends with me said the same. We have all seen lots of musicals but Tina far rated the best.
An outstanding performance that blew me away. Would absolutely recommend seeing this show. You will certainly not be disappointed!
Wow what a great show. I took my daughter last night for her birthday and I can’t praise it enough, we absolutely loved it .
This was definitely a tear jurker. As her story was so heart felt. I can Sympathise with it as I grew up on domestic violence when that my father used to beat on my mother me and my siblings went through a similar fate. Her music was amazing especially when I was growing up in the 80's . I laughed I cried it is definitely a must see show and recommend it to everyone.
The main girl who is playing tina was good but she didnt do the lady herself justice she just wasnt right
What an amazing show , completely blown away , the cast where fantastic
Travelled from Southampton to see the show, managed to find two seats that didn't require taking out another mortgage, good view, lovely theatre BUT WHY, on the coldest night of the year so far id the air conditioning have to be on 'freezing'? We and many around us, put our coats, hats and scarves back on well before half time. As if it wasn't obvious, we reported to the available attendants that it was spoiling the evening but, sadly, nothing changed. However, after a slowish first half [which included an unfortunate technical breakdown], the second part really warmed up and the finale was incredible, the singers, actors, dancers and musicians all surpassing themselves. The first half would have been better if the whole band had been more in evidence as they really gave a lift to the proceedings.
Came on my own as I often do on my way home. I love the Theater I try go once a month. Had an okay seat though I forgot the seats in the Aldwych are not up a step for each row. I’m only 5ft so really struggled to see in front of the many people that had large hair up in a top bun.that constantly moved districting me from being able to see with sitting on the edge of my tiny no leg room seat. I had such a crook neck at the end of the first half I nearly left the Theater. I did ask very nicely the lady in front of she could stay seated but she was so busy chatting to the person next to her. Saying that the show was good bit I’d not put it in my top 10
fabulous !!!!!!!!!
Enthralling from start to finish.
Enthralling from start to finish.
Treated mum for her birthday and she had the best time! It wasn't a show that I would purposely book for myself to see but was surprised just how much I loved it! The show was great and being able to get up to dance and sing along at the end was amazing!! Highly recommend this show for any Tina Turner fans.
To much waffling and not enough singing. I have seen a lot of shows in the West end, this was far from the best.
Great show with stunning no performance from the lead character. I would definitely take better seats next time... service in bar area and public space very limited... Not my best theatre in London’s West End.... But the show made up for other factors....
The show was amazing well done to everyone
Brilliant show well worth going to see
Blown away on our girly trip to see this amazing musical. Have read the book and got to admit we got pretty emotional throughout. The end scene when Tina had reinvented herself and emerged as the amazing star she was we all she’d a tear. The portrayal was so fantastic she was absolutely Tina herself.
Bought the tickets for my sisters birthday. She came out with a real buzz. A fabulous moving story and brilliant. Cast were amazing. Have to see it again
everything was brilliant. the stage, the costumes, the language was authentic. the cast were fantastic and “Tina” was out of this world. her portrayal and growth throughout the show was immense. well done!

Good show but have to point out that every other show we saw in london the program price was £5...this venue was trying to rip people off with £10...get it put right.
Absolutely great performance! I loved that there was a story and not just singing and dancing. The whole cast were surberb. Tina did a great job as her part. When ‘simply the best’ came on at the end, the whole crowd went bonkers!
Great show really enjoyed it
