Life of Pi tickets
Winner of 5 Olivier Awards, including 'Best New Play', Life of Pi is based on one of the most extraordinary and best-loved works of fiction – the smash hit adaptation of an epic journey of endurance and hope.
After a cargo ship sinks in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, there are five survivors stranded on a lifeboat - a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, a Royal Bengal tiger, and a sixteen year-old boy named Pi. Time is against them, nature is harsh, who will survive?
Long after the curtain falls, “Life of Pi will make you believe in the power of theatre” (The Times).
Life of Pi reviews
The visuals were amazing..its humour..its message..its magic..Stunning!
It far exceeded any expectations I might have had. Brilliant. The cast were all exceptional, as was the stage, lighting (exceptional) and sound. The “puppets” and their handlers were breathtaking.
Excellent . The puppetry very clever and the visual Graphics were beautiful .?
Very enjoyable. The actor playing Pi is amazing - he is in every scene, often without dialogue. You forget the animals are puppets and the stage converting into a boat and soft trap doors is brilliant. Richard Parker is fantastic!
Amazing show, fun of colour fun and sadness great story. Fun for all ages, highly recommended.
Watched from one of the ‘cheaper seats’ but still excellent view. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. I had the understudy to Pi, and he was brilliant, delivering a nuanced, convincing and funny performance. An inventive design gives extra sparkle and colour, with a wonderful use of the space. The puppets were brilliantly brought to life by the puppeteers who skilfully gave them character all of their own. A very good piece of theatre, a great story that’s loyal to the source material. Recommend.
The show was stunning! The actors were incredible.
We booked last minute for this show. Hadn't read the book but wasn't a problem to follow the storyline. How glad we were that we chose Life of Pi. What a beautiful theatre and what an amazing production! Hiran Abeysekera is brilliant as Pi and the rest of the cast were all top class actors. We were mesmerised by the puppetry, so cleverly done, the set was amazing and captivated us from beginning to end. This show is a must see!
Love the stage. Actors are great.
This show is a fantastic show. Great acting and the storyline makes you think !!! The puppetry is wonderful, so much so that you forget that the humans are there moving them. The stage set is so good it all flows together between scenes. A great show to see.
Fantastic show
The dramatic staging and brilliant animatronics make this a real theatrical experience. Pi holds everything together with his boundless energy and inspiring journey. The ensemble actors are not very well rounded characters and some of the dialogue is not convincing. The ideas in the book are rather simplified but the overall effect is memorable.
Loved it! Loved the special effects!! The story had all the salient points. Acting was brilliant.
What a fantastic production. The puppetry was stunning and really brought the animals to life. I laughed and cried, and thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful spectacle.
Wish they could add a song inbetween
Thoroughly enjoyable! Fascinating to see the animals come to life with their brilliant movements - utterly believable. The stage and scenery were also amazing in alternating between the boat and the hospital. ...and PI! What can I say? So energised, animated and energetic! Bravo!! Thank you!
This has now become our joint top show - joint with the Lion King. Outstandingly good production of an amazing story.
It was just superb! magical, beautiful, great performances & costumes & decors I would recommended definitely
A brilliant show !!
Wow….. if you think the film moves you, you’ll be left lost for words after watching this truly amazing awesome production. To be able to bring the story to life in this way is unbelievable - has to be seen to be believed. Characters, staging, story telling all tremendous. Thank you for making this even possible.
